I love to cook. For me it is a wonderful stress reliever (well, except when things aren’t working the way I want them to, then of course it makes me totally crazy). It’s also a creative outlet for me. I’m not a by-the-book cook, I’m much more likely to just look in my fridge and start throwing things together, or start with a recipe and then add whatever sounds good. It’s rare for me to actually follow a recipe. I usually only do so if I’m baking and trying not to mess something up or trying out a complex recipe for the first time.
This blog is my way of capturing the things I create and sharing my love of food. My big sister and brother-in-law actually came up with the blog title, because I’m notorious for add lots of garlic to just about everything (pepper too, I like things spicy).
I’m all about the food, thus I don’t claim to be much of a writer, nor a photographer. I’m certainly working on improving in both those areas… but well, please accept my apologies when they aren’t up to snuff. The food will make up for it, I swear!
Aside from a love of food (and this blog) I work in marketing, I’m an avid reader, a doting pet parent, a Yellow Jacket, born and raised southerner, a wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. The hubs and I are learning how to be parents, as we watch our little peanut boy grow. We still aren’t great at sharing the kitchen (you know what they say about too many cooks in the kitchen), so mostly we just alternate cooking nights.
